Could my son be part dog?

Gabey absolutely hates riding in the car sometimes.  He cries and cries until he is horse from crying.  One day, I decided to roll down the window for him.  Lo and behold, it worked.  He LOVED it! So now whenever he is crying in the car, I roll the window down.  I'm reminded of all the dogs I see with their heads out the window, tongues hanging out, panting in the wind. Maybe he's just hot and likes the wind on his face? I'm convinced he's part dog.

Sleep Training

Luca and I decided to sleep train Gabey baby.  It took us one day.  I feel bad for all those mothers and fathers who it takes much longer for them.  Wednesday we took away his pacifier and let him cry himself to sleep.  It took him 6 minutes to fall asleep the first nap, 4 minutes the second nap, and no more crying since. I feel so blessed that I didn't have to suffer through listening to my baby cry.  I guess he was just ready to not have a pacifier and to sleep on his own.  In a way I'm happy, but I'm also a little sad.  This kinda means that my baby is growing up.  I'm torn.  I want him to stay little forever, but I also LOVE seeing how smart he is.  And how much he is learning.  It's so awesome.  I guess you can't have both right?

Memory Loss After Pregnancy

I sometimes feel like I am loosing my mind! I was doing SO good the other day. I got the living room picked up, the dishes done, and almost all of the laundry done.  Then I get busy with the baby and dinner and Luca coming home and get super distracted.  So the next morning I ask Luca to take the clothes out of the dryer so I can fold them, and I never started the dryer.  DANG IT!!! AND I didn't hang up his dress shirts or pants that can't be dried.  They sat in a pile on top on the un-started dryer.  This is just the icing on the cake really.  I don't know how many times I have "tried" to make rice in the very easy to use rice cooker, only to find that I didn't push the button down! UGH!!!! So I have stinky clothes that I have to re-wash, and uncooked rice to eat for dinner.  Thanks Gabey Baby! You not only stole what little of a figure I had, you also stole my ability to function in everyday life! The worst part about this, is I totally want to have more kids.  What if it just gets worse? I don't know if I can handle it! Luca is so very understanding.  He even tries not to laugh so much when I forget to do something.  Maybe if I just space my kids out, I will be able to regain my memory and figure before the next one steals it away again.

The Reid Family Reunion

This year Luca and I were in charge of his family reunion.  And boy was it SO fun! No sarcasm, seriously, I had the best time being able to spend chill relaxed time with the family.  (Other then the fact that little Gabey cried through the whole picture session and was fine after, GEEZ Gabe!)
Since last year, there are 4 new members to our family. The twins, Ruby and Hazel, (9 months), Gabey Baby, (3 months), and Eleanor Charlotte, (2 months). Luca doesn't really have a nick name for any of his nieces or nephews, except for Eleanor, her calls her Charleanor.  Weird, I know, but we still love him.

The meals were great. The company was great.  And best of all, we get to do this every year! Well, the reunion anyway.  We will gladly leave the planning up to the others for the next couple of years.

I love how all "the kids" truly have their own personalities. And they love each other so much.  It is so nice to have in-laws that love and respect me and each other.

our "new" blog

So, apparently when you delete an old email account, you loose your blog as well.  So now I get to start a new one! Yea! And now that things are much more settled I will actually have time to add posts and pictures.  Hope you all enjoy!
